About This Campaign

Olivanta Global Recruits is accepting expressions of interest from qualified educators for teaching positions at established schools across China, for the January 2027 and September 2027 intakes.

• Applications are reviewed for the intake you select
• Suitable candidates are screened, interviewed and introduced to Olivanta's China-based education consulting partner
• Confirmation of a specific school, city and salary takes place through the written placement documentation issued for each role
• Where a specific role has not yet been confirmed with a school, your application is held as an expression of interest for upcoming recruitment

Intake Periods

• January 2027 intake — applications reviewed in advance to allow for screening, document authentication, work-permit and visa processing
• September 2027 intake — applications reviewed in advance of the school year start
• You can apply for one intake now and be considered for the other later

What Your Employment Package May Include

• Accommodation — furnished accommodation or a housing allowance, where provided under the applicable placement terms
• Annual flight benefit or airfare reimbursement, where included in the applicable terms
• Medical insurance coverage where provided under the applicable school and placement package
• Paid school holidays in accordance with the school's academic calendar
• Work-permit and visa support coordinated through Olivanta's China-based education consulting partner
• Onboarding and relocation guidance to prepare you for living and teaching in China

Who Should Apply

• A bachelor's degree or higher
• A recognised teaching qualification such as a B.Ed., PGCE, state teaching licence or equivalent
• Fluent English
• Relevant classroom teaching experience — a minimum of two years is preferred
• A valid passport, or the ability to obtain one promptly
• The ability to obtain the required criminal background check
• The ability to complete the document-authentication, work-permit and visa processes
• Availability to relocate for the intake you are applying for

Your Recruitment and Placement Journey

• Initial screening — Olivanta reviews your qualifications, credentials, classroom experience, preferred teaching level and intake availability
• Olivanta interview — suitable applicants are interviewed by Olivanta Global Recruits
• Candidate agreement — approved candidates receive a Candidate Agreement from Olivanta's China-based education consulting partner
• Document authentication — guidance on degree, teaching qualification, background check, passport and employment-verification documents
• School placement, work permit and visa, then departure and arrival support

Candidate Fees and Pre-Departure Costs

No recruitment or placement fees. Candidates are not charged a recruitment or placement fee for the Teach in China campaign.

• Candidates should plan for certain third-party and pre-departure expenses
• Document notarisation and authentication fees
• Initial flight costs
• Courier, travel or document-handling expenses
• Any Level 5 TEFL course fee, which is a third-party training expense where a qualification is required for a particular role
• These expenses are paid to the relevant government authority, service provider, airline, training provider or other third party — they are not recruitment or placement fees paid to Olivanta Global Recruits

Salary Notice

Indicative salary range of RMB 16,000 – 55,000+ per month, presented in qualification bands (Level 5 TEFL, formal teaching licence, and international curriculum specialist).
